The article known as Springtrap is about a character, that will make an appearance in a future installment of the Five Nights at Freddy's SMBX fangame series.
As such, the information on this page doesn't represent the character's final state and might be subject to major changes during its development.

Springtrap is one of the main characters of the Five Nights at Freddy's SMBX series.

He will be one of the playable characters in the third game and make his first appearance on CAM 09.

As Springtrap is the only, real animatronic in Fazbear's Fright, he will automatically be selected as the player's animatronic whenever they start FNAF SMBX 3. This also means, that the second player will likely take control the night guard this time.

Whenever Springtrap gets damaged, he will be reduced to a broken form, that will be ironically able to quickly crawl around the location. In this form, he will be known as the appropriately named Broken Springtrap.

Springtrap is a human sized, bipedal, animatronic bunny sporting a black bowtie. His body is mainly golden, but his snout, the insides of his ears, his chest and his belly are apple-green. Springtrap has a round, black nose and grey eyes.

Broken Springtrap looks the same as his regular self, except for the lower half of his body missing. This separation starts from the middle of his stomach and is shown by visible jagged marks.

  • Springtrap was the first animatronic to be added to the alpha build of FNAF SMBX 3.
  • Springtrap's idle sprite was made back in 2015, but due to their simultaneous work on multiple other projects, the creator of the FNAF SMBX fangame series was unable to make progress on Springtrap and the game ever since.
  • Springtrap's appearance is meant to mimic his appearance from Scott Cawthon's original Five Nights at Freddy's 3 game, but in a brand new state.
    • This is the most noticeable when he is directly compared to his counterpart from the original FNAF 3.
  • Springtrap's real eyecolor isn't noticeable ingame due to his sprites' chibified looks.
  • Unlike the other animatronics, Springtrap doesn't jumpscare the night guard, because he mistakes him for being the Purple Guy.
    • Instead, he will meet the night guard to ask them for help, so that Springtrap will be able to leave the location.
      • This also will make FNAF SMBX 3 the only FNAF SMBX game, that will feature two separate world maps. The first map will be set before Springtrap can explain the situation to the night guard and second map will feature them working together, with the night guard being in the office while Springtrap continues to traverse the location.
        • As such, the first map will be single player with only Springtrap being playable, while the second map will allow either player to play as one of the characters.
